    Tips for Driving at Night

Driving at night is very different that driving during the day. Drivers need to be more alert because of the reduced visibility associated with driving at night. And, if the weather is poor, it only makes driving at night only more difficult.

The following are some useful tips that all new and experienced drivers need to take into account when they are driving at night and preparing for their road test:-

    1. Since visibility is reduced, it is important to follow at a safe distance
    2. Always make sure that your headlights are working properly before driving at night, especially if you are driving long distances or on the highway
    3. While driving, never look directly into the headlights of oncoming traffic
    4. Keep all windows and headlight clean
    5. Don’t wait for it to be completely dark to turn on your headlights
    6. If you have to make a road side stop, always turn on your emergency flashers
    7. Avoid driving at night if you are tired. When drivers are tired, they tend to be less alert and more prone to making mistakes
    8. If you are driving in foggy conditions, refrain from using your high beams. This will only make visibility more difficult
    9. Take extra precaution when driving through intersections
