On August 26, 2013 at 12:00 p.m., ICBC will open a new Driver Licensing Office (DLO) at Lansdowne Centre mall — in central Richmond.
The new DLO will replace the Richmond and Ironwood Plaza offices.

New hours of operation
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Licensing office closures
With this change, these offices will permanently close:
- Richmond DLO at 5740 Minoru Blvd. — closing Thursday, August 22 at 4:00 p.m., and
- Ironwood Plaza DLO at 11662 Steveston Hwy. — closing Friday, August 23 at 6:00 p.m.
Why ICBC is making this change
The reasons for moving the Richmond DLO are:
- the lease at the Minoru Blvd. office in Richmond is expiring so ICBC needed to find a new location
- combining the Ironwood staff at the new Lansdowne Centre mall location will allow ICBC to provide expanded Monday to Saturday service in one central location, and
- to provide better service for customers with a larger facility with good access to transit and parking.
